The Copenhagen-based recording studio Heymans Studio (run by Christian Heyman) was restructuring its business model from focusing on being a recording studio to concentrating on mixing. Therefore, a rebranding and change in the visual identity were needed. First, Heyman Studio and Blue Dane Production sat down to talk about the name. After some time back and forth, they landed on the name Mix By Heyman. A name that changes the focus from a physical location (Heyman Studio) to a personal brand of Christian Heyman and simultaneously clarifies what the brand is about mixing services
The next part of the process was looking at the visual identity. First of we looked at a new logo. Here it was a clear wish from Christian Heyman to keep the black square from his former logo of Heyman Studios. So, the assignment from BDP. was to create a new logo within the square. Here BDP. creatade a monogram MBH.
Next, we took a look at creating a new website. Our goal was to create a simple website that showcases Christians’ unique style, resume, and workspace. The website is WordPress based and designed from scratch. We created new content for the page to substantiate the website’s message and Christian personal style. So on the website, you will find new portrait pictures and a video interview.
